Transformerservice was called in to perform a critical repair on a medium-voltage transformer at a solar park in Sleen, located in the northeast of the Netherlands. The transformer showed signs of irregular operation, threatening downtime for the entire PV installation.Following a rapid assessment by our service team, the fault was traced to an internal insulation issue. The transformer was carefully disconnected and transported to our workshop for a full inspection and repair.The repair scope included:
- Partial rewinding of the high-voltage winding
- Oil filtration and replacement with fresh insulating oil
- Thermal and insulation testing according to IEC standards
- Final functional test and on-site recommissioning
Thanks to Transformerservice efficient repair process and close coordination with the site operator, the transformer was back in operation within a matter of days—ensuring continued renewable energy production without long-term disruption.
